Review: Skinfood Lemon Tea Salt Mask Foam

I was sick for the latter part of last week so I didn't get much blogging done on the weekend. But after sleeping 17 hours out of a possible 24 hours (by skipping class ha ha ha...), I feel much better so here I am! I usually don't buy things I haven't tried before in full size. The reason I made this an exception was because I've had great success with Skinfood's Black Sugar Scrub Foam, and somehow I thought that since the sugar worked so well, maybe salt would work just as well if not better! Yes, it makes no sense..I know.

Review: It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis

This sample is apparently a limited edition of their Power 10 Formula line. I got this and It's Skin Power 10 Formula CO Effector with Phyto Collagen as samples when I bought It's Skin Prestige Creme Hand D'Escargot back when I went to Korea for the summer. The snail hand cream was a dud unfortunately but It's Skin Power 10 Formula CO Effector with Phyto Collagen was impressive enough for me to go venture into GMarket for the first time and buy the full size along with another product from the same line for sebum control (will review once I get to trying it).

I wonder how much money I've spent on eye cream samples so far. Probably enough to buy a jar of nice Shiseido eye cream! Nothing seems to work very well except for Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream, which I bought a full jar of because there were no samples. Yes, this is my attitude these days when I try new eye creams these days. I actually never thought I'd try this eye cream but I've read reviews and they haven't been that great. But I saw it on eBay for $2 including shipping so I thought, well, why not? Fortunately, this time I was pleasantly surprised.

I've heard lots of reviews about it being great and I've always wondered how it compared to my favorite clay mask, Origins Active Charcoal Mask at clearing my pores, brightening my face and preventing breakouts. The winter weather and indoor heating are making my under eyes really dry. I've been trying eye cream samples in succession, with the most recent being IOPE V-Fit Lift Eye Cream for the fine lines under my eyes, but it wasn't moisturizing enough. So my eyes have just been getting progressively drier and drier. Even when I went back to using Skinfood Gold Caviar Collagen Eye Cream as an attempt to save my under eyes, which worked for me before in the summer, did barely nothing this time around during the winter! So I decided to give this one a try since I bought it a few months ago anyways.

Third eye mask review! I just did one yesterday for Nature Republic Snaytox Hydrogel Eye Patch, where I found that there wasn't much essence left in the patch. Not sure if it just evaporated or if there was just not much to begin with, but to be on the safe side I decided I might as well use this one too before it gets any drier. I was first exposed to the whole eye mask thing when I went to Korea last summer. I bought the immensely popular The Face Shop Raspberry Lines & Lift Raspberry Collagen Eye Patch, which were sold in packs of 200 and 300 in the stores there!

The criteria I have for eye masks is similar to sheet masks. First is, of course, effectiveness. Second is whether or not it can stick on my under eye and feel comfortable (or even better, I don't feel it being on my under eye after awhile). This is because I don't have the patience nor the time to sit there for 30-40 minutes. I need to be doing something while I put on this mask and if I need to fix it every minute because it's falling off my under eye then that's an instant fail. Third is whether or not it absorbs. If I don't feel a difference in the wetness of the sheet mask after 30 minutes.. then there is a problem with the compatibility of the mask with my under eye.

Review: Missha Dong Baek Gold Shampoo

Excuse the bad photo with my stuffed animal in the background..forgot to take a proper photo before I ripped it open. I got this as a complimentary sample. Didn't know Missha had hair products, but not surprised since Korean cosmetic brands seem to have a product for any part of your body. Dong Baek means camellia according to Missha's US website. According to wiki, camellia oil is commonly used in hair care. In Japan, high grade Japanese camellia oil is called tsubaki oil. I guess that's where the Shiseido Tsubaki comes from.

Review: Missha Super Aqua Oxygen Micro Visible Deep Cleanser

This was the second and last complimentary sample I got from buying my Etude House Drawing Eye Brow Pencil Refill. The first one was my previous post, Missha Time Revolution Immortal Youth Cream. I think this is the first time where I've gotten 2 samples where both actually wow me enough to consider buying the full product. Usually at least one of them is going to be some inconsequential hydrating fluid or aqua base cream that only moisturizes my skin (if only that was the only problem on my face)! And to think that I got these 2 great samples from buying a $4 eyebrow pencil refill!
