Review: Skinfood Quinoa Rich Body Milk

Class has been so tiring...8am classes really do take a toll on me..especially when I'm not a morning person. But it's finally Friday and it's the LONG weekend! YAY!

Anyway, back on topic. I got this sample from one of my Skinfood purchases back in Korea. I actually ended up using this while I was in Korea and totally forgot about it until I was looking back at my photos.

Description (taken from eng.theskinfood.com):
  • A rich body milk with quinoa extract that creates a creamy layer to give dry skin a softer, smoother texture.
  • Also known as the "Super-grain of the Incas", quinoa has a nutritional profile that is at least equal to that of milk as far as proteins, starch, vitamins and minerals go. When applied topically, it effectively relieves dryness and promotes skin''s beauty.
  • After showering, smooth onto the body, focusing especially on dry patches.
My impression:

This will be short because this is only a moisturizing lotion so there's not much to review. I put the lotion on my legs and I didn't develop any allergic reactions (rash, red bumps, swelling). Basically, I was seeing whether or not this was going to be better than the drugstore brand body lotions like Aveeno.

Result? My leg felt moisturized the day after right before I was about to shower, but I didn't feel any difference between this lotion and other drugstore brands like Aveeno. So I don't think I'll be going out of my way to buy this lotion and get it shipped over here.

Summary:

No breakouts, allergic reactions, etc.
Not any more effective than my local drugstore body lotion
$16 for 500ml on eBay

Grade: 3/5 because it does its job of moisturizing but not any more effective than my local drugstore body lotion

Value: 2/5 because it's the same as my ordinary drugstore body lotion so there's no point in me going out of my way to get it

Repurchase? No
