Review: Missha Time Revolution Immortal Youth Cream

I got this as a complimentary sample from buying my Etude House Drawing Eye Brow Pencil Refill. I used it yesterday and I only looked it up a few minutes ago to realized how expensive this cream is. Very grateful that I got this as a free sample!

Description (taken from eBay.com):
  • Prestige total anti-aging special serum that rejuvenates and regenerates your skin cells by controlling the cell existence code
  • Soft satin-like texture with amazing elasticity vitalizes the skin
  • Certified wrinkle curing and whitening cosmetic
  • Apply an appropriate amount gently on the skin. Lightly pat to absorb
My impression:

This cream, despite it being an anti-aging cream, wasn't too rich. It didn't make me break out, it didn't lead to massive oil production and I didn't feel like it was suffocating my skin. I had a pimple that is halfway to healing and I just put the cream over it but the cream didn't make it worse. Usually when I have some oily and rich anti-wrinkle cream and I put it on my old pimples they get bigger, which is what happened with Skinfood Platinum Grape Cell Essence.

The next morning my face absorbed all the cream and was nicely moisturized. The cream calmed down the redness of my skin. Little bumps were even out. My face was brightened and I looked like I had healthy skin (for those who don't know, usually my skin has a very unhealthy yellow tan, like I'm really stressed or that there's something wrong with me internally). I was most impressed when I saw a bit of improvement on the fine lines on my forehead! I don't think I've had any creams so far that gave me an overnight improvement on those damn lines until this one.

All in all, I'm very impressed with this cream. It basically does everything the Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Sleeping Mask does (I am currently using that as my night cream) in revitalizing my skin for the next day, but pushes it to the next level. Plus the fact that it helped the fine lines on my forehead. But this is just one sample so I will hold off that statement for now. The only problem is the cost. A 50ml jar of this is $60 on eBay, $76 on Missha's official US site but sold out, and not even listed on Missha's official Canada site!

I think I'm definitely going to buy a few samples myself to see if this one sample was representative of this actual cream's effects. And then I guess I'll have to admit that I really am getting old and I need to incorporate some anti-aging strategies to help my skin :(

Summary:

Brightened my face, calmed the redness, evened out bumps
Revitalized my skin giving it a healthy skin color
Extremely expensive :(
$60 for 50ml on eBay

Grade: 4.5/5 because it did everything that Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Sleeping Mask but pushed it to the next level AND it helped the fine lines on my forehead

Value: 3.5/5 because it's so expensive!

Repurchase? I'm going to buy samples first before I consider splurging

  1. Was there any feeling of your face being pulled/tightened after applying this cream?
If there wasn't, then I would totally get it for my mom, LOL.
    But, oh man, the price...

    1. Nope, no pulled/tightened feeling.
Buy some samples first! Though samples aren't very cheap either for this cream :/

    1. Hi there, yes I ended up using more samples. I would recommend it as a night cream during winter as it is more moisturizing as my usual night time routine cream, Missha super aqua cell renew snail sleeping mask. Hope that helps!
