Review: Asience Inner Rich Hair Treatment

This was sitting in my cupboard for awhile until a bit over a month ago. I always thought hair treatments take a long time and are a hassle. But my hair is a dry frizzball and since I've cut my hair to a bit less than shoulder length the frizz is going crazy on me. So I decided to take a look on how to use this treatment and it actually wasn't that complicated at all!

My impression:

After shampooing and while I'm still in the shower, I try to take away as much water from my hair as I can before putting this treatment on. I apply quite generously and aim to put it on every part of my hair. Then I leave it on for about 3-5 minutes. I usually try to put on body soap and face cleanser and do everything while I leave the treatment on my hair.

When I first squeezed this out of my tube, it really resembled the Asience conditioner with that silicone/dimethicone texture, but just more solidified. It seemed like a more concentrated version of their own conditioner. So I guess that means even more silicone! When I wash it off and blow dry my hair, my hair is softer than if I just used the conditioner. This effect lasts as long as before I wash my hair again, and I wash my hair every day. When I wash my hair the next day and just apply on the normal conditioner, the extra softness of my hair from using the treatment is gone and it's back to its regular softness from using the conditioner.

The conditioner de-tangled my hair without problems and this treatment did the same. Perhaps for those whose hair was not completely de-tangled by the conditioner would experience better effects with the treatment? But I can't say because the conditioner was already fine for me in this aspect. 

I got this as a "free bonus" in a package of Asience shampoo and conditioner. Considering its effects and the short duration, I wouldn't buy it. Given its short duration, maybe I'll just use it on days where I need the extra nice and soft looking hair.

I also have Shiseido Tsubaki Shining Hair Treatment with Tsubaki Oil EX, also a "free bonus" that I got as part of a package of Tsubaki shampoo and conditioner. I haven't used it yet but will try it out once I'm done the Asience treatment.

Summary:

Slightly more effective than conditioner
Effect does not last long (until you wash your hair again)
De-tangles to the same degree as conditioner for me
$14 for 180ml on Sasa

Quality: 3/5 because it does soften hair but it's just a more concentrated conditioner and the effect is not that much better than the conditioner and it doesn't last long

Value: 3.5/5 because you actually do need quite a bit to put it all over your hair and the quality isn't that great

Repurchase? No, I'll be trying Shiseido Tsubaki Shining Hair Treatment with Tsubaki Oil EX
